SERVICES: SCLEROTHERAPY
FOR SPIDER VEINS

WHAT IS SCLEROTHERAPY?
Sclerotherapy treatment was developed in the 1920's. Advances in medical science have replaced the "salt solution" used for many years with a newer, more modern medication. During the procedure a sclerosing solution is injected into the vein through a micro-needle. The tiny needles generally cause very little pain. The solution blanches the vein, causing it to turn white and gradually disappear. A typical treatment may last for 15 to 20 minutes.
