WHAT IS RECOVERY LIKE?
Your legs will be wrapped with an elastic bandage. You will then wear special heavy-duty stockings to help keep pressure on the veins. This will reduce bruising and help keep the treated veins closed. Bruises around the treated areas usually disappear after the first few weeks. A tan or brownish skin pigment may persist for six to eight weeks when larger veins are involved. A brisk 15 minute walk after the procedure is encouraged followed by a gradual return to normal activities within 48 hours.
